I Am The One - Dragon Age: Origins soundtrack
Have to reblog this because its still epic and beautiful after 3 years.

I restarted and remade my Cearo (chi-ah-roh) Surana (The name is Anglo-Saxon and means “sorrow.”) I’m pretty pleased with her, although I have a feeling the PT is going to be traumatic. She’s very, very cunning, and openly antagonistic to the Chantry and Templars. I don’t know if she’ll romance anyone. She’s also going to be a blood mage. Al is going to dislike her a lot, and Zev/Lelei I have no idea. She hates humans though, so.
Also here are some more apprentice robe reference pics for Chenria. :)
A new and interesting mod for DA:O
Not sure if my interest outweighs my apathy enough to install and run, but if you really want it, it’s a nice option:
Banter Now:
http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/3541
Basically it adds a console command that allows you to trigger your companion’s bantering anytime you want. So you can stand in place and make them talk all day, if you like.
Reblogging because I might want to use that.
Art giveaway #1 — for lifeisacollage40, Bann Teagan kissing their Cousland.
I hope you like it!
Still to come, Sigrun and Nathaniel Howe for mireliambar and Anders and Autumn Hawke for theunlikelyheroine.
ASDFGHJKL, it’s Sunday already >_<
Ok, another post of an oldie for Dragon Age Threesome Week. If you think it’s starting to be a rompin’ sexy OT3, wait until you get to the last page :P
NSFW for the content though it’s not graphic in the least, tbh…

Zevran’s romance is much more beautiful than most people seem to realize… His goodbye at the gates is the most heartbreaking alongside Morrigan’s - romanced or not - exactly because they were the ones who never let people get too close.
Yes, in the beginning it’s all about sex; it has always been about sex with him because he was raised to be a goddamn assassin and the only time he had feelings for someone he helped to kill her because he was tricked into believing she had betrayed their guild. But you see as he gradually gets more and more attached to the Warden, how he reachs the point of being jealous if you’re too close of another (romanceable) companion, and how his loyalty just keeps increasing in every sense.
He keeps telling you it’s just about the fun but you can see he’s only trying to convince himself of that. And the earring scene… the moment you say to him you want that to symbolize something he loses it, because he just couldn’t admit he wanted that too. He’s struggling so much because he knows he already fell in love and that scares the shit out of him; because he can’t bear to get attached just to lose another person dear to him again. And with the Warden living that kind of life and the Blight upon their shoulders, he knows they could end up dead any minute.
But in the end he admits just how important you are to him, even going as far as saying you can take that as a proposal. Then the final battle starts and you’re heading to fight the Archdemon in flesh… and he can’t help but worry about you, wondering if you will come back alive, especially if you don’t take him. And if your Warden sacrifices him/herself… it kills him inside. The epilogue mentions he never fell in love again. And in the second game, even after seven years he tells Isabela he can’t have sex with her because the memories are still too fresh Zevran surely is a pervert but you cannot say he’s incapable of love. He’s the most loyal and passionate man once he has been won over.
Sorry, I just have too many feelings about this fucking elf.

All of the characters in Origins are easily written off as tropes and caricatures if one chooses not to bother, yet utterly complex and interesting and sympathetic if one chooses to invest their time. The investment is worth it, and Zevran is no exception.
I wrote him off, the first time I played. Luckily, the second time, I did not.
**********
All of this. Zevran is the only character in DA:O that I’ve romanced completely- I watched my b/f’s playthrough romancing Morri and that was good enough for me. And despite not being tied into the plot the way Alistair and Morri are, his romance was the best of them for me. I’ve watched all the Alistair vids, have even romanced him partway before losing interest in completing the game.
But Zev’s romance gets me every time, because while Alistair’s journey in DA:O is towards a more world-wise, hardened character, Zev starts in that place and goes in the opposite direction. He goes from cynical and suicidal to loving, truly for the second time in his life, to believing again in another person and believing himself worthy of that love. He starts off dismissing his worth as an elven whoreson and assassin, a man who believes that he’s simply not worth another person’s devotion, a man who doesn’t even know if he’s capable of love, and in the end he comes to the realization that the Warden loves him for who he is, that his past doesn’t define his character, and that he in turn can love and deserves to be loved.
There’s just nothing that compares to romancing Zev in Origins, for me. He and Anders consistently vy for the top spot in my heart for Bioware-mances.
Ah, Zev. <3

MY FAVOURITE VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS (in no particular order):
Zevran Arainai (Dragon Age: Origins)
“An assassin must learn to forget about sentiment. It is too dangerous. You take your pleasures where you can, when life is good. To expect anything more would be reckless.”
The many faces of Alistair. <3
My Tabris let him down gently.
Dawwwwwww Alistair. Poor guy.
signcherie replied to your post: things I did not realize
Yeah, that really got me, and gave me all kinds of theories regarding Leliana’s motives in Origins.I was just thinking about that … wondering if she actually joined up with the Warden on orders, not because of a dream. The only thing that keeps me from fully going with it is the encounter with the Guardian of the Sacred Ashes - who pokes at Leliana about whether she made up the dreams to get attention.
… of course, I wouldn’t put it past Gaider to retcon the whole thing, either. ;)
The dream could be real, and she could still be under orders. Or, he could be poking at her about making up the dream because she did make up the dream. Like, she could have used any excuse, why make that up? And I think the rest of it, all her views on Andraste that differ from the Chantry, I think that’s all true, so her passion about her beliefs when she’s responding is genuine.
It just seems a bit unlikely that she was this nobody Chantry sister in this nowhere village that just happens to be BFFs with the Divine Mother and has all these mad spy skills. I think she was planted.
YMMV, this is just my personal headcanon.
